A Song & Dance for November
First, let me catch my breath.
Hi
October! What was that all about?!! Hurricanes, fire, sickness -- difficult times for so many. And yet swirling around in that mix were good things -- music, laughter, people coming together helping one another, and deep genuine love. Amidst all the chaos, October held many gems.
Music at home. For the past five weeks, we’ve hosted an intimate gathering at our place. Every Sunday, we set up a few chairs out in front of our outdoor kitchen. Mickey makes bread and bakes it on the grill. I make a big pot of soup on the camp stove. We set up our sound system (powered by a small generator) and play some music. Sometimes a few friends join us in the afternoon, along with my mom Carole and my stepmom Carol, who always show up for whatever we do. Everyone is welcome.
When it gets dark, and it’s just the two of us, Mickey and I continue to play our songs under the beautiful stage lights — just because it feels good, and it’s pretty. It’s been a way to create something special. When the winter winds force us to close in the kitchen, it will be a natural ending of one thing and a new beginning of something different, whatever that is.

Music videos. I’ve been having some fun translating a few of my songs into music videos, all made on my iPhone using iMovie. I have two new ones up on our YouTube channel — Love Plus One, which has already had over 1400 views (woohoo!) And the latest one, Skeletons in the Closet. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for a glimpse of these movie stars, before they get too famous -- Puzzle, Blondie, Lola, & Snow. Bruce the cat was out hunting during the photoshoot. Remember you saw them here first. 😂

We also finished up the studio recording of I Wanna Laugh and released it on Friday. My beautiful great-nieces, Rylan and Raine are featured on the cover art. Just click on the photo to hear it.

From my blog...
Happy New Year
No, I’m not trying to rush out of 2020, although it's not a bad idea. It's Samhain (sow-in), the Celtic New Year. It marks the end of the harvest and the beginning of a new year. A time for planting and nurturing what will grow in the darkness over the winter. Read more
In Closing
Thank you for joining me! I hope November brings you some time to catch your breath and nurture the seeds that will sprout in the spring. Love and deep gratitude. Also, don't forget I love hearing back from you.
